WELCOME TO CHURCH CONSULTATION

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF A CHURCH CONSULTANT?

A certified church consultant helps a church, and its leaders get a fresh perspective on the condition of the church. The consultant examines several metrics (see below), analyses the data, and provides a report with conclusions and recommendations to increase the church’s effectiveness in their Kingdom efforts. This is not just an academic or commercial exercise. This is a ministry, performed by a fellow believer guided by God’s word, prayer, and the Holy Spirit.

WHY USE A CHURCH CONSULTANT?

The goal of a church consultation is to help struggling churches regain their footing and become healthy, growing congregations. Healthy churches can use the services to help them reach the next level of growth and beyond.

WHAT DOES THE SERVICE COST?

The price of the service depends on several factors: the level of service the client requires, the time and effort necessary to accomplish that service, and the travel, lodging, and required expenses (if any). After the initial client interview, the consultant provides a written proposal of the terms of service agreement including services, timeframes, and pricing. Services can include but are not limited to those listed below. Comprehensive consultations include all services. Consultation inquiries are available at no charge. Do not let the price of the service discourage you from inquiring. This is a ministry. Customized consultations, discounts and scholarships are available.

WHAT WILL THE CLIENT CHURCH RECEIVE?

The end result is a written report with all the results, conclusions, and recommendations presented to the client. The presentation can be conducted via Zoom or in person, as the client desires. Informational interviews with the consultant are available free of charge by phone or via Zoom and can be requested by using the contact form below.

“Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”

FAQs

What is the average cost of the service?

According to Church Consultation University, the average price of a comprehensive consultation is based on the size of your church, along with the scope and timeline of the project. Comprehensive consultations can begin at $4,000 for churches under 100 in attendance, $6,000 for churches between 100-199 in attendance, $8,000 for churches between 200-499 in attendance, and $12,000 for churches over 500 in attendance. Customized consultations (2 or more of the listed services) are priced individually. Discounts and scholarships are available upon request, if qualified.

What is your area of service?

We are located in middle Tennessee, south of Nashville. We focus on churches within a day’s drive to keep expenses low but are available for any church in the US able to provide travel and lodging expenses or wanting to conduct a virtual consultation.

Can a consultation be conducted virtually?

While in-person consultations are more thorough, it is possible with current technology to conduct a consultation virtually. The primary factor in this decision is cost. Virtual consultations are less expensive than in-person consultations.

How much time does a consultation require?

A comprehensive consultation can take anywhere from three months to one year, depending primarily on the size of the church. Customized consultations take considerably less time depending on the make up of the services requested.

Can a church without a senior pastor request a consultation?

Yes. You do not need to have a senior or lead pastor to request a consultation. The lay leadership, deacon board, elder board, trustees, or search committee can serve as the client for reporting purposes. Some churches find a consultation during the interim period helpful in the pastor search process.

How does the client pay for the service?

Upon agreeing to the scope of the consultation and receipt of a signed copy of the terms of service agreement, services will begin when one half of the cost is received by the consultant. The final one-half payment will be due upon receipt by the client of the final consultation report.
